This past July 4th, Funk Master Flex went off for 5hours (no commercials) on Hot97. He dedicated the set to 90s hip-hop music. For all those that weren't blessed with the opportunity to listen to Hot97 in it's heyday, New York radio was actually dominated by New York artists. New York radio was known for breaking records, not being the corporate bandwagon it has become today.
