Perfect Strangers

We here at GFC New York love to co-sign FRESHNESS. Once we put our stamp of approval on something it is just due to receive recognition. So with that said, we give you our 1st GFC New York blog co-sign with the release of Hasan Insane's "Jay-Z & Nas: Perfect Strangers" mixtape.

We have been onto Hasan Insane for some time now. He and his partner DJ Mills released "Jay-Z: The Pink Album," their version of The Black Album during the remix craze of 03/04. We can attest to "The Pink Album" being better than Danger Mouse's "The Grey Album," but that was then and this is now. "Perfect Strangers" is a solid 12 tracks plus bonus where he couples two of the most significant icons in Hip-Hop history over original Hasan Insane production. This release should cure the itch for those awaiting a Hova & Godson collaboration, following their historic rendezvous this past October @ The Continental Airlines Arena. We must say that this is a classic mixtape, that should be on repeat in your new video iPod.

On a scale of 1-5 we give this mixtape 5 fresh *****

Here are a few samples from the mixtape for your listening pleasure:

Jay-Z & Nas - Allure
Jay-Z & Nas ft. Talib Kweli - Karma
Jay-Z & Nas - Blueprint
